Starting XI

The goalkeeper Was rarely tested required before the break before tested from an opponent's curled attempt. A sliding challenge against Qazim Laci showed sharp reading of the game. 6/10

Jarell Quansah Tested by the opposition's main danger in Hoxha. Operated in a central role early on but moved out wide once a teammate was introduced. 7

John Stones Advanced up the pitch on the ball, a familiar role in the past. Sometimes lacked urgency on the ball with the experiment was shelved at half-time. 6/10

The tall defender A constant threat on corners and free-kicks, per usual, could serve as a replacement for Stones in defense rather than his partner. A loose ball later in the match almost led to the first goal for the visitors. 6

The young full-back Another assured performance from the 20-year-old after his debut versus another side. A teammate did not capitalize on the opportunity from an exquisite touch over the opposing backline. The role is his to lose at this stage. 7

Adam Wharton His first start for his country. A bit careless on the ball however his dangerous deliveries were a threat. A useful pace-controller available to the coach to have versus defensive opponents. Cautioned after a reckless foul. 6/10

Declan Rice Deliveries from dead balls and free-kicks caused problems. Was given license to move on the left but was in an offside position upon receiving with a chance to score. Granted a well-earned substitution after an hour. Six

Jude Bellingham Played in a forward role out wide while also put in defensive duties. Demonstrated flashes of quality and dragged an attempt high. Replaced late on by Rogers, a fellow player, following a yellow card. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Had the team's top opening before halftime, his shot excellently kept out from Thomas Strakosha. As Quansah staying deep, he was forced to offer an outlet on the right yet his deliveries from the touchline were inconsistent. Substituted late in the match. 6

The captain The decisive figure scoring seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes for his country. His first a trademark opportunist's goal while the second an excellent finish with his head after peeling away off his defender. At 32, he’s only getting better and the side stand a real opportunity in future competitions with him leading the line. Eight

Eberechi Eze Struggled to get into the game out wide. Had a decent opportunity after being played in by Bellingham but the keeper kept it out. His replacement had a greater influence when substituted. Five
